The controversial District VIII

There is a district that is very close to the centre of Budapest, yet it feels like a completely different world. This is District VIII, one of the most diverse and controversial neighbourhoods in the city. Roma communities, immigrants, long-time locals and a new wave of artists co-exist here. The result is a unique cultural mix: raw, colourful, sometimes chaotic, but always full of life.

Alternative bike tour
- Graffiti walls and cool places

Time to get on your bike and leave the city centre behind! On this tour, we'll rent bikes from a local, family-owned bike shop and head off to see Budapest's first graffiti wall, and then a really local part of the city.

Small sculptures, big stories- In the footsteps of Kolodko mini sculptures

The Hungarian-Ukrainian artist Mihail Kolodko created and still creates small bronze sculptures all over Budapest. These hidden treasures tell stories: local legends, anecdotes, important moments or simply cool decorations.

Street art tour
- Budapest city centre

Budapest's city centre is full of street art. Local street artists decorate walls, hidden corners and street objects with creativity and passion. It's not just about the artists, every street is full of messages, social commentary, graffiti and stickers. It may seem chaotic at first glance, but there is a system behind it.
